JOB TITLE:  Member Solutions Consultant
DEPARTMENT:  Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a financial retail banking expert/consultant to the member on behalf of the credit union.  Proactively educates members and provides solutions which are mutually beneficial to both the member and the organization.  High level product, service, intuitive sales, and system knowledge is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for proactively educating members and providing banking solutions which are mutually beneficial to both the member and the organization
  • Promote the highest possible image for the Credit Union through the professional delivery of the suite of products and services
  • Create a memorable new member onboarding experience that includes timely follow up and detailed training for the member on self-service channels
  • Responsible for both organizational and personal sales goals and objectives, and the identification and execution of cross-sell opportunities in support of those goals and objectives.  
  • Provide the best possible continual member experience with all service delivery channels.  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.  Refers issues that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with recommendations.
  • Empower members through outbound member outreach campaigns that provide educational information and programs that increase their knowledge; give members the ability to manage and control their financial well-being in the digital space.
  • Keep managers informed of important issues, suggestions, and ideas.
  • Maintains and protects member account information on the core computer system.  Assures that transaction processing is accurate and timely, that appropriate records are maintained, and required reports are prepared.
  • Performs targeted outbound calling campaigns to increase sales volumes and identifies and executes mutually beneficial cross-sell opportunities based on the member's needs.
  • Location flexibility required to assure coverage of all departments if needed.
  • Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness ensuring the organization incurs no business disruption.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Experience:  One to two years of similar or related experience required, financial services experience preferred.  Education:  A high school education or equivalent required.  Some college or completion of a two or four year degree is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills:  A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills:  Ability to perform and complete tasks timely and accurately with general supervision.  Must adhere to expected service level expectation.  Candidate must have excellent communication skills, and must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management.  Intermediate proficiency computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel. 

Work Environment:  Fast paced general office environment with usually moderate noise.  Employee may have to manage a number of projects or tasks at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of members, co-workers and management.  Employee will need excellent organizational, time, and stress management skills to perform essential functions of this job.  This position may occasionally be required to work overtime, evenings, or weekends.

JOB TITLE:  Accounting Analyst
CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Evaluate, develop and revise current policies and procedures specific to accounting areas to ensure compliance and execute duties specific to accounting and certain reporting processes. The position requires excellent organizational and time management skills to perform essential functions of this job. Analysis of current accounting processes with an emphasis on streamlining routines, plus development of essential secondary reporting and analysis.

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Ability to perform and complete tasks with general supervision and adhere to expected service level expectation. Ability to handle multiple projects, multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines with the flexibility of handling both Accounting and Reporting areas of the organization. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Advanced proficiency computer skills required including Microsoft Office, MCIF, and accounting platforms

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in month end closing process and reporting.
  • Prepares financial reports; ensures complete/accurate financial, statistical, and accounting records of the Credit Union. 
  • Work with our MCIF system to ensure timely and accurate data
  • Research, analyze and compile relevant statistics and information to align with the organization’s strategic plan
  • Analyze HMDA reporting data and submissions
  • Utilize analytical software to improve quality of data
  • Develop recurring accounting and branch reports
  • Utilize Raddon reports and statistics to support improvements for products, services and processes and keep senior management informed regarding key departmental issues.
  • Recommends change where appropriate.  Assesses risk potential of current procedures and institute new procedures that minimize loss exposure.
  • Analyze GL usage and develop controls and reports
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE:   Three years + of similar or related experience.  Experience in a Credit Union, auditing firm, consulting firm, or other Financial Institution preferred.
EDUCATION:   A college degree is required.  Preferred degrees in Accounting, or Finance.  MBA and/or CPA is a bonus but not required.
